Many Trainers Go Out Hunting, KLCC ‘Resurrected’ Simultaneously with Pokémon GO Fest 2026
The area around KLCC Park was filled with people today after the Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global was held.
Through sharing by several users on Threads, many players or trainers were seen gathering in the park since this morning.
For those who don’t know, this event lasts for two days until Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm.
A player, @MatKhair1 shares the atmosphere at today’s festival.
He, who has been playing Pokémon GO since 2016, said that this event was the biggest event in Kuala Lumpur that he had participated in so far.
“I’ve been playing since 2016, after that I stopped and started again.
“I just returned from the Osaka GoFest event in Japan,” he told SK.
Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global took place simultaneously across the globe, while physical community celebrations were also held at select locations including KLCC Park.
This free, open-to-the-public event sees local player communities come together to hunt Pokémon, complete special tasks, and participate in Raid Battles together.
One of the main attractions of this event is the appearance of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y through Super Mega Raid Battles.
Players can get Mewtwo Mega Energy X or Mewtwo Mega Energy Y after defeating these two Pokémon.
“Mewtwo captured from Super Mega Battles will have at least one Mega Level unlocked,” according to the official Pokémon GO site.
Additionally, players who log in throughout the Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global weekend will receive Special Research offering the chance to meet Zeraora.
Visitors to KLCC Park can also enjoy the event popup Pokémon GO, interactive activities, photo opportunities and various activities with local Community Ambassadors.
Pokémon GO gifts and merchandise are also available while supplies last.
