PRN Negeri Sembilan: Police Approve 473 Requests for Political Talks, 14 Investigation Letters Opened
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Negeri Sembilan approved 473 of 499 requests to hold talks and political campaign activities in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) for the period 18 July to yesterday.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said all approved programs were monitored by the police to ensure the organization complied with the law and did not disturb public safety and order.
He said in his statement today, PDRM also received 33 police reports and opened 14 investigation files related to election violations in the period in question.
“Yesterday the police received five police reports from the public, but from the results of further investigations, no investigation letters were opened regarding election violations,” he said.
According to Alzafny, so far the security and public order situation throughout the Negeri Sembilan PRN process is in good condition and under control.
Therefore, he appealed to the public to continue to obey the law, respect the democratic process, and provide full cooperation to PDRM to ensure the election process runs smoothly.

Previously, the initial voting for PRN Negeri Sembilan was scheduled to take place tomorrow, while voting day was set for August 1.
