250 kilograms old bombs found in Bukit Goh housing tread
Kuantan (named) -Butut old air bombs weighing around 250 pounds found embedded at the housing project site on Bukit Goh yesterday
Kuantan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Adli Mat Daud said the bomb was discovered by a contractor around 14:50 before the police rushed to the scene to carry out further security and investigation.
“The results of the risk evaluation by the bombing unit of the Kuantan District Police Headquarters (IPD) and the Pahang Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) have found that the object must be destroyed using the ‘Low Order’ method,” he said in a statement today.

He said the method was chosen to reduce the impact of residents of the population located about 200 meters from the location of the bombing and the destruction was successfully implemented at 10 am.
Meanwhile, Mohd Adli advised the public not to touch or divert suspicious objects found in any location, instead of contacting the nearest police station for further action.
