Thunderstorm Warning In 7 Countries, 1 WP – METMalaysia

The Meteorological Department of Malaysia (METMalaysia) issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several areas until 9pm today.

In the statement, the states involved were Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Johor and Sarawak, in addition the entire Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

“From KedahThe districts involved are Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu, meanwhile Penang Island involving Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan.

“From Silver Meanwhile, the districts involved are Kerian, Larut, Matang Dan Selamat, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim. Whereas, Pahang involving Cameron Highlands, Temerloh, Maran, Bera and Rompin.

“Meanwhile, the regions are involved in Selangor are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat, in addition to Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru in Johor” told METMalaysia.

MetMalaysia added that a similar situation is also expected to occur Sarawak involving Sri Aman, Betong (Betong), Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Kapit (Lagu, Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.

Public people are asked to be alert

Therefore, residents in the area are advised to be aware of these sudden weather changes and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.

The public is also advised to avoid outdoor activities and always follow weather warnings from METMalaysia through official channels.

Preventive measures need to be taken to reduce the risk of undesirable events occurring due to bad weather which is predicted to hit the area.
