Eight States Forecast Heavy Rain Tonight
The Meteorological Department of Malaysia (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in eight states until 17.00 this afternoon.
Based on this statement, several areas in the state are expected to receive rain, such as Kedah, Terengganu, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah and the entire state of Perlis.

“From KedahThe areas where rain is predicted are Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, and Sik.
“Meanwhile on Terengganu including Setiu and Kuala Nerus. Meanwhile at Selangor also involves the Gombak and Hulu Langat areas.
“Two areas in Negeri SembilanRain is also predicted for Jelebu and Jempol this afternoon. For Johoronly Mersing and Kota Tinggi are predicted to experience rain.
“Switch to Sarawak The areas where rain is expected are Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Matu, Dalat and Mukah) and Kapit (Song).
“For Sabah including the West Coast (Ranau) and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Kinabatangan and Sandakan),” the statement said.
Therefore, residents in the area are advised to be aware of these sudden weather changes and ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
The public is also advised to avoid outdoor activities and always follow weather warnings from METMalaysia through official channels.
Preventive measures need to be taken to reduce the risk of undesirable events occurring due to bad weather which is predicted to hit the area.
