Selangor Sultan Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today gave a view for land development problems in Kampung Sungai Baru, Kuala Lumpur.

According to a statement, he wants in every detailed consideration made by all relevant parties about this, the original history of the establishment and heritage of the Kampong Bharu area must be taken into account.
Founded in 1899 and recognized as a settlement of the Malay community for agricultural purposes, as a result of the 5th grace of Sultan Selangor, the late Sultan Sir Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah Ibni Ibni Raja Musa through the Government of the State Selangor on January 12, 1900.
Kampong Bharu, a symbol of Malay resurrection since 1900
During that time to this day, various history and important events related to Malays have been made in Kampung Baru, including the construction of the Sultan Sulaiman club which is the location of the Semalaya Malay Congress in 1946 to trigger the establishment of UMNO.
During the tragedy May 13, 1969, the club was also used as a Malay shelter.
In addition, the Sultan Sulaiman club field was also used as a training ground for the Selangor soccer team before the construction of an independent stadium.
He added that it became more nostalgic when understanding was achieved so that the village mosque that was just guaranteed by the Sultan of the Sixth Selangor, the late Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah must be maintained in existing locations and cannot be transferred elsewhere.
