MetMalaysia Issues Tropical Storm Warning
KUALA LUMPUR, 1 Dec (Bernama) — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a Tropical Storm Warning (KOTO) which was detected at 11 this morning at latitude 14.7 north and 111.6 east longitude approximately 396 kilometers (km) southeast of Da Nang, Vietnam.
MetMalaysia’s National Weather and Earthquake Operations Center said the storm was moving in an almost stationary state with a maximum wind speed of 65 kilometers per hour (km/h).
The storm’s distance from the nearest city is around 1,036 km to the northwest of Kudat, Sabah.
According to MetMalaysia, this situation does not have a significant impact on Malaysia.
