Malaysian MotoGP contract extended for five years until 2031

SEPANG, July 1 (Bernama) — The contract to host the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has been extended by another five years until 2031, said Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari.

He said the new contract, which will come into effect next year, had been approved by the Cabinet, thus reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring that Malaysia continues to be one of the world’s motorsports hubs. The current contract for holding the Malaysian MotoGP is 2024 until the end of this year.

“This reform is not just an expansion of international sporting events but is a strategic decision by the government to ensure Malaysia continues to remain relevant and competitive as a global motorsport hub,” he told journalists at the announcement press conference at SIC today.

Mohammed Taufiq said the contract extension was part of the government’s efforts to develop the country’s motorsports ecosystem, in addition to opening up economic opportunities through holding international sporting events.

“MotoGP Malaysia is a strategic national asset and investment that benefits the tourism, hospitality, transportation and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sectors.

“The economic impact study shows that his organization in 2024 has generated an overall economic impact of approximately RM694 million, creating more than 4,400 jobs and generating a 6.3-fold return on investment for the country,” he said.

He said that apart from having a positive impact on the tourism sector, holding the Malaysian MotoGP also contributed to the development of local talent, technical expertise and participation in the wider motorsports industry.

“Through Malaysian Motorsport Development (MDEV), a more structured talent development path has produced results with the emergence of racers such as Hakim Danish and Qabil Irfan who are increasingly shining on the international stage,” he said.

The Malaysian MotoGP was first held in 1991 at the Batu Tiga Shah Alam Circuit before moving to SIC in 1999.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
