Khairy wants to return to UMNO, Shahril is still comfortable outside politics

Khairy Jamaluddin expressed his desire to return to UMNO following Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s statement which opened the door to unconditional integration for former members who were fired or temporarily suspended.

Through the audio broadcast of Quickly Exit, Khairy said that he had mentioned this desire for a long time.

“When I was invited like that, I had been saying for a long time that I wanted to return to UMNO.

“I see this as a positive development and pure opportunity for me personally.

“So we can start drafting it, I want to see the draft letter,” he said.

Someday, not now- Shahril

Meanwhile, former UMNO Information Chairman Shahril Hamdan admitted that he was still comfortable outside politics at the moment.

“For me personally, I really appreciate and respect him attitude which was created by Datuk Seri Zahid but I am quite comfortable outside politics at the moment.

“One day, Wallahu’alam, but not now,” he said.

Through Ahmad Zahid’s statement, Friday, he said that UMNO opened its doors as wide as possible to any former member who was fired, dismissed from membership, or for individuals who wanted to join the party’s struggle to join UMNO.

According to him, in the spirit of Ramadan which is full of grace and forgiveness, all mistakes and differences are completely forgiven to open a new chapter in efforts to strengthen the UMNO extended family.

“Hopefully this effort will be made easier by Allah Subhanahuwataala and become a point of unity that strengthens the party’s strength in continuing the agenda of struggle for religion, nation and homeland, as well as guaranteeing a better future for the people and the country,” he said.
