Extra holiday date coincides with Deepavali 2025
Good news for all students, teachers, and school children throughout the country.
Additional holidays in relation to this year’s Deepavali celebration will provide space not only for the Indian community to welcome him more alive. In fact, all school children can also enjoy longer rest.
Deepavali Extra Leave Schedule 2025
According to the academic calendar session 2025/2026, this additional vacation involved all schools except Sarawak. Here are the details of the holidays announced:
Group a
- Involving schools in the states of kedah, kelantan and terengganu
- Additional holidays on October 19 (Sunday) and October 21 (Tuesday)
Group B.
- Involving schools in the states of Malacca, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Federal Kuala Lumpur region, Labuan Federal Region and Federal Putrajaya region
- Additional Leave on October 21 (Tuesday) and October 22 (Wednesday)
Sarawak (Group B)
- There is no additional leave
- Vacation only a day, namely on October 20 (Monday)
Holidays 5 days in a row
With this additional vacation, students and teachers in most states will enjoy up to five consecutive holidays.
Imagine, starting the weekend, connected with a festive vacation, the best is to return to the village, visit friends or just spend quality time with family.
For those who don’t go on vacation, this is also a good opportunity to relax at home, ‘refill’ energy before continuing the busy school session.
