Perlis Provides Special Financial Assistance of RM500 to State Civil Apparatus
KANGAR9 December (Bernama) — Perlis State Government agreed to provide Special Financial Assistance of RM500 to all civil servants including contract staff in appreciation for their services and sacrifices.
Perlis Chief Minister Mohd Shukri Ramli said the aid would be paid in January next year.
“The state government hopes that civil servants can increase the level of productivity, efficiency and quality of work in line with the improvements obtained in order to provide the best service to the community and strengthen government governance,” he said.
He expressed this when presenting the 2026 Budget Perlis with the theme Perlisku Bestari Rakyat Sejahtera at the State People’s Representative Council (DUN) meeting at the Seri Putra Complex in Jakarta, today.
Meanwhile, Mohd Shukri said the restructuring of civil servant salaries through the implementation of the Public Service Compensation System (SSPA) Phase 2 which came into effect in January 2026 involved an increase of RM3.28 million.
