Malaysia noted the Dart World Cup debut, defeating Canada
Germany – The Malaysian National Dart Team made history with the first victory in the opening competition of the 2025 Betvictor World Cup, Sky Sports reported.
In the F Collection Action at Eissporthalle Frankfurt, Germany, Malaysia subdue Canada with a convincing decision 4-1.
The couple Tengku Shah and Tan Jenn Ming showed a solid performance throughout the match against the 10th option.
This victory was Malaysia’s first success in the history of the Dart World Cup. Malaysia now leads Group F and is expected to play against Denmark in the second match. The clash against Denmark is scheduled for Friday night, Frankfurt’s local time.
Denmark is the third team in the group and hasn’t played in the first match.
Each group consists of three teams, including the selected team determined by the organizer.
A total of 36 countries competing at the group level, divided into 12 groups with each group champion will automatically qualify for the 16th round of the tournament. The team that loses Thursday will face the group’s third team on Friday afternoon.
To your knowledge, Malaysia is not included in the selected team category and starts from the first round.
The top four teams in England, Wales, Scotland and northern Ireland began in the second half. England is the defending champion and elected in the next round with three other countries.
The team is expected to start competing on Saturdays in two different sessions.
After the end of the group match, the official round of 16 will be held on Friday night. Voting will determine the group champion in the KO chart.
Malaysia has the opportunity to maintain their performance against Denmark. The second half is scheduled to take place on Saturday, followed by the quarter -finals and semi -finals.
The last action is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, at the same location in Frankfurt.
