Krace Kajang Toll: Truck driver is returned, claiming to jump out of the trucks – police
Truck drivers involved in a tragic accident in Bukit Kajang Toll Plaza on Saturday were returned for two days to assist police investigations.
Head of Kajang District Police Chief Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof said that so far he had recorded five evidence. This includes an employer who is also the owner of a truck company.
“According to the initial investigation, the truck driver claimed he jumped out of the vehicle due to braking problems.
“However, the truck will be sent to the relevant authorities for further investigation,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
Commenting on the progress of the victim, he informed that three dead baby family members, mother, grandmother and twin brother were allowed to leave Serdang Hospital.
“A Proton X70 passenger is still being treated at the Kajang KPJ, while two JKR staff are still receiving treatment at the Kajang Hospital,” he said.
Naazron also said that the investigation revealed that the truck was last maintained in April 2025. However, the police are still investigating whether there are brake problems that lead to the tragedy.
In the incident on Saturday, a 12 -month male boy was killed while the other eight were injured after a three -one truck carrying shabby items crashed into three other vehicles on the Kajang Toll Plaza Hill.
The accident involved trucks, four-wheeled Nissan X-Trail vehicles, Honda City and Proton X70.
