Additional Court D0: Federal Court Stipulated August 13 Appeal Decision General
Putrajaya, August 7 (named) – The federal court was set August 13 to announce a decision regarding the Appeal Prosecutor’s Office (AG) regarding the existence of additional documents that allow Datuk Series Najib Razak
Lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah who represented the former Prime Minister confirmed the date of the decision to be named.
On July 9, a panel of three federal court judges chaired by the Chairman of the Malayan Court Tan Sri Hasnah Mohammed Hashim, sat with the Federal Court judge Datuk Zabariah Mohd Yusof and Datuk Hanipah Faratellah to postpone the decision of the appeal.
On April 28, the Federal Court gave an AG permission to submit an appeal to the decision of the appeal court in additional documents allegedly related to Najib.
On January 6, the appeal court in the majority decision 2-1 returned the case related to the accusation of additional Najib documents who allegedly allowed him to serve a six-year prison sentence as a detention at home to be decided by the High Court.
The decision canceled the previous high court order which rejected the Najib application to permission to start a judicial review of additional documents.
Najib is currently serving a sentence of six years in prison after being found guilty of management mistakes and appeals and appeals of SDN BHD and the Judicial Review application was rejected by the Federal Court.
In February 2023, the forgiveness council echoed the 12 -year prison sentence of Najib to six years while the RM210 million fine was reduced to RM50 million.
