ASEAN Summit: LLM, Toll Road Company Full Cooperation with PDRM in Traffic Management
In line with the recommendations of Minister of Public Works YB, the Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) and highway concessionaires are working together with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to ensure smooth traffic management in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit which will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) from 26 to 28 October 2025.
This prestigious summit will bring together Heads of State, Heads of Government and high-level delegations from all over the region and the world.
Therefore, close coordination and proactive action are essential to ensure the smooth movement of officials and the safety of all parties involved.
As the national highway operations oversight body, LLM has taken initial steps by establishing strategic collaboration with PDRM, other law enforcement agencies, and highway concession companies to implement a comprehensive traffic management plan during the conference period.
LLM also ensures that all road traffic support systems such as Electronic Sign Boards (VMS), Closed Circuit Cameras (CCTV) and Traffic Management Center (TMC) are in optimal condition and fully ready to support current traffic monitoring and control operations.
To ensure smooth travel between the airport and the city center, maintenance or construction work involving lane closures on major highways will be temporarily suspended except for work involving emergency cases only from October 23, 2025 to October 29, 2025.
At the same time, LLM calls on all road users, especially around the Klang Valley and areas around KLCC, to cooperate with:
1. Plan your trip in advance and check the current traffic status through official channels.
2. Comply with all instructions and signals issued by the police and highway patrol.
3. Be alert for official announcements regarding temporary closures or diversions of main routes around Kuala Lumpur between 23 and 28 October 2025.
For further information or the latest traffic reports on the highway, the public can visit the official social media of LLM and highway concessionaires, or contact the LLM Traffic Management Center (TMC) on the toll-free line 1-800-88-7752.
