Metmalaysia verification
The Malaysian Department of Meteorology (Metmalaysia) confirmed that weak earthquakes were recorded at coordinates of 2.5 ° North and 102.8 ° East, with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale.
According to Metalaysia, the earthquake center is about 5 kilometers to the west of Segamat, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
It is understood that the tremor was also reported to be felt to the nearest regions including Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and South Pahang.
“The Malaysian Department of Meteorology will continue to monitor this situation,” Metmalaysia said.
No damage or injury reported
Meanwhile, the Johor government advised the community to stay away from an unstable and alert structure of the instructions of the authorities
Johor Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz said he had been in contact with Segamat District Officer Mohd Ezzuddin Sanusi and was told that so far no death was reported.
He also invited people to pray that the state of Johor and all countries are always protected from any disaster.
