US from Highway Fund: Macc Calls 61 Witnesses
Kota Bharu, July 3 (named) – The Malaysian Anti -Corruption Commission (MACC) has called for 61 witnesses so far to assist in investigating the cheating sukuk building funds in the Klang Valley.
MACC Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said that all witnesses had been called new -new while the number of assets believed to be the holder of a highway concession called Tan Sri remained the same as previously announced.
“I have given a maximum of two months for my officers to complete the investigation paper.
“I believe that maybe not two months from an investigation paper to be submitted to the Deputy Prosecutor,” he said at a press conference after the new Macc Kelantan Director Azmin Yusoff and former incumbent Rosli Husain here today.
On June 25, the media reported that MACC had summoned 55 people to record evidence with nine arrests after the investigation.
In addition, MACC said the search was also carried out including the residence of the suspect with 14 individual accounts and eight frozen accounts involving a total of RM156 million.
