Reasons Why We Should Hajj »Nabawi Mulia

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, and is an important part of the foundation of Islam. As Muslims, we have the obligation to implement it if it is fulfilled, which is physically and financially able. The command of pilgrimage is not just a suggestion, but an obligation from Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā for those who have been given the field of sustenance and health to do it.

The main and most obvious reason why we have to go on Hajj is because this worship is a direct command from Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā which is contained in the Qur’an. As prayer and fasting, Hajj is also included in the deeds of worship that is mandatory. However, different from other worship, the implementation of the pilgrimage has additional requirements, namely the ability to physically and mentally. Therefore, Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā gives relief for people who have not been able to fulfill it.

In the Qur’an, Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā has submitted a research command through several verses. One of them is in the surah āimrān verse 97:

There are signs of evidence in a residence for God to be rich in people
“There are clear signs, (including) Maqām Ibrāhīm. Anyone who enters (Baitullāh) is safe. (Army is: 97)

This verse confirms that Hajj is an obligation for every Muslim who has the ability. This command is not only limited to formality, but is also a recognition of the greatness and oneness of Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā. Refusing or ignoring this obligation is a form of rejection of His determination.

In the verse of Surah al-ḥajj, Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā also ordered the Prophet Ibrāhīm ʿalayhis-Salām to ask all humanity to make a pilgrimage:

And for people in the pilgrimage, they will come to you, and for every conscience that comes from every blind face
“And call people to make a pilgrimage, they will come to you on foot, or go every thin camel, they come from all corners.” (Al-ḥajj: 27)

This command shows that the pilgrimage has become part of the teachings of monotheism since the time of the Prophet Ibrāhīm ʿalayhis-Salām, and the call continues to this day. Muslims from all over the world flocked to meet the call, making it a form of obedience and longing for Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā.

In addition, in Surah al-Baqarah verse 158 it is stated that Safā and Marwah are part of the syiʿār (symbol) of God’s religion:

For the description and bitterness of God’s rays? Shakir is knowledge
“Indeed, Safā and Marwah are part of the Shiʿār of Allah. Then whoever worship the pilgrimage to Baitullāh or has a sin, there is no sin for him to do the saʿī between the two. And whoever with the willingness of the heart to do the virtue, then Allah is All -Knowing.” (Al-Baqarah: 158)

This verse shows that the entire series of pilgrims has a deep and valuable spiritual meaning in the sight of Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā.

After doing all the pilgrimage, Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā also ordered us to improve his mind, as mentioned in the Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 200:

So if you spend your hands, then remember God, as you remember, or the most remembering you, and from those who say: in the luxury of Khalq
“When you have completed the pilgrimage, then reflect on God, just like you call your ancestors, even meditating more than that. Then some people pray, ‘O our Lord, give us the world,’ and in the hereafter he has no part. ‘ (Al-Baqarah: 200)

Allah subḥānahu wa taʿālā also explains the full procedure of the verse al-baqarah 196:

And do pilgrimage and Umrah for God ۚ If you are appropriate, then what is easy from guidance. The solution is ۚ Anyone who is sick or with him is his head by Umrah to the pilgrimage, then what is easy from guidance ۚ Anyone who does not find fasting three days in the pilgrimage in pilgrimage, and the pilgrimage is the same camera
“And finish the pilgrimage and Umrah to God. But if you are surrounded by an enemy), then (massacre) Hadyu is easy to find, and do not shave your head, before Hadyu reaches its massacre …(Al-Baqarah: 196)

Through this verse, Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā shows how serious the pilgrimage is, and provides guidance about all conditions that might be faced during its implementation.

Thus, it is very clear that pilgrimage is not only an obligation, but also a form of obedience, obedience, and love of a servant to his Lord. Therefore, when we have been given the ability of Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā, both physically and materially, it is intended to make a pilgrimage.

May Allah Subḥānahu wa taʿālā make all of us servants who are frightening and easy to make pilgrimage.
God, safe
