71 Schools in KL, Selangor is permitted to implement PDPR during the ASEAN Summit – KPM
The Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE) gave 71 schools in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to implement Teaching and Home Learning (PDPR) from May 26 to May 28, 2025.
According to KPM, this is in conjunction with the 46th ASEAN Summit.
“The PDPR implementation permit is proposed for schools involved by considering the closure of the road and security during the 46th ASEAN Summit.
“This is to ensure that student learning in schools involved is not affected,” the statement said.
KPM, parents, guardians, students, teachers and school children involved are advised to refer to the official channels of each school for more information about the implementation of PDPR.
“KPM believes that the experience of implementing PDPR during Pandemi and during the disaster situation can ensure the continuity of the learning process and at the same time aspects of the welfare of teachers and all schools.

Previously, KPM was ready to implement PDPR during the ASEAN Summit in May and October to avoid road congestion.
Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek said he currently identifies schools involved for the implementation of PDPR.
“Yes, there is a discussion (PDPR implementation) and we identify the schools involved to ensure the smooth running of the ASEAN program and to avoid traffic jams.
“So it doesn’t matter, we are ready to implement the process and we also make full commitment, and there are some things that must be discussed (at KPM),” he told reporters after attending the National High School Symbolic Board Datuk Haji Ahmad Badawi, here.
